PAUL REVEALS WHY HE CANCELLED MELBOURE SHOWS IN 2002

He cancelled his 2002 Melbourne shows, following the infamous Bali bombings.
And Paul revealed to News Corp, that the reason was due to the fact that he and his crew 'can't show up cheery'.

The revelation comes ahead of the 75-year-old's Australian concert dates in December, that will see The Beatles star tour Down Under for the first time since 1993.
'That was very sad. We were looking forward to it,' Paul told the publication in regards to the cancellation of his proposed Melbourne shows back in 2002.
'(We were) all ready to go, then there was the news of the bomb in Bali. We thought we can't show up all cheery,' the musician continued.
Paul was referring to the terrorist attack in October 2002, that saw 202 killed and a further 209 injured, after three bombs were detonated on the Indonesian island of Bali.

At the time he claimed the country needed time to recover in an official statement.
'This is not the appropriate time for a rock show,' he said, expressing his deepest sympathies.
Meanwhile die-hard The Beatles and Paul McCartney fans, will be glad to hear the personality is set to tour Australia in December, for the first time in 24 years.
'I haven't had a chance to get down there for years,' Paul told News Corp of Australia, adding: 'I've been looking forward to it for a long time, finally it's happening.'

Paul will commence his tour Down Under in Perth on December 2, followed by Melbourne on December 5, Brisbane on December 9 and Sydney on December 11.
He will then travel to Auckland for the remainder of the tour.
Tickets for Paul's One on One tour will go on sale July 4, with pre-sale available June 29.
